But where is all the inspo for boho babes with a flair for more understatedly romantic decor? Boho Bar Cart for Valentine’s Day
I need to level with you guys… I very much so have a love hate relationship with styling bar carts. It takes me longer than I care to admit to arrange them in a way that looks pleasing to the eye. But today, today I said to myself as I took a step back and looked at the final result, “I think I finally got the hang of this.” And let me tell you, if I can do it so can you! Whether you’re decorating your space for February in general or prepping to host a Galentine’s Day soirée, consider yourself covered as I share with you exactly how I curated a boho bar cart perfect for V-Day and Galentine’s.
How to Style Your Bar Cart:
How you will decorate your bar cart can vary based on if it’s an active component (such as a mimosa bar) to a party or something you simply want to spruce up for February. I decorated my bar cart with the idea in mind of serving grapefruit rosé mimosas, so the majority of items on it relate to creating this drink. Working from this angle, allow me to share with you what you’ll need to set up a mimosa bar.
What You’ll Need for a Rosé Bar / /
– grapefruit juice to mix with your rosé
– fresh grapefruit, strawberries and rosemary to garnish your mimosas
– goblets or champagne flutes (mine are depression era glass from a flea market)
– rosé ( I served Summer Water 2017 from my Winc Wine box, use my link for $22 off yours!)
– french macaroons (These aren’t essential but compliment the mimosas nicely & fit the aesthetics.)
– rose lemonade (I loved the packaging of this drink and thought it added to the overall presentation as well as complimented the line up of drinks & food I had arranged on my bar cart.)
What to Decorate Your Bar Cart With:
I think I can nail down exactly where my bar cart styling problems began and it starts with what exactly to put on it! Candles, a globe? If you feel lost when it comes to this department, you’re in good company. I chose pieces that specifically fit the Valentines/Galentines theme but could really work year round. Bar Cart Decor Options / /
– fresh bouquet of flowers (Set the romantic tone with a bouquet of roses in a pretty vase like this.)
– hang a garland on your cart (I used this boho one from Target’s Opalhouse line)
– decorate with a cute bottle opener ( Mine is also from Target’s Opalhouse line)
– add a stack of books to the bottom shelf ( I used this book and this boho one.)
– place a pink candle and geode stone on your stack of books
– finish off with cacti plants on the bottom shelf for added boho vibes
My notes on why this works: Everything came together with how I arranged my bar cart for a couple of reasons. Let me break it down for you! To balance everything out on the top shelf of my bar cart, I added items with varying height differences. You can do this by placing toppings for the mimosas on a cake stand or adding tall vases with fresh flowers. On the bottom of the bar cart, I arranged a couple items that bring together the boho vibe. From the cactus plants, to the geode stone.
