Mixed drinks, anyone? Since I’ve turned 21, there isn’t a mixed drink I won’t try. Well, almost any! No planning went into this post but I almost think that makes it better. One evening, I so randomly decided to try playing around with drink combinations, and so my new favorite holiday drink, was created. For all my last-minute people, (Don’t worry, you’re my kinda people because I’m not a planner in the least) I’ve created a recipe that comes with perfect timing as everyone attends holiday party & functions the next week or so. For a drink that is sure to be a hit, check out a last-minute holiday mixed drink idea below.
A Last Minute Holiday Mixed Drink Idea
How it’s Done:
The process to creating this seasonal mixed-drink is very simple. First off, you’ll need to pick up a jug of Winter Wassail from Trader Joe’s. I linked the juice sold on Amazon, simply so you can see what it looks like but you’ll of course need to visit their store to pick it up.
The next ingredient is cinnamon infused vodka. I bought my vodka from Stateside, (a distillery in Philly and now Lawrenceville, too) and infused it with cinnamon sticks and a squeeze of lemon juice for flavor. Feel free to use whatever vodka is your most favorite, though.
Once you’re ready to begin combining ingredients, find your favorite glass to pour this delicious concoction into. Pending how strong you want your drink to be, add anywhere from a half to a full shot of vodka. (I like to taste my liquor, so I always add a full shot. 😉 ) Just go with your personal preference. Next, fill the rest of the cup with Winter Wassail. Add a cinnamon stick in your drink, for extra presentation points. That my friends, would be all that’s to it. All that’s left to do is enjoy!
